SDC began in 2014 with a cohort of four students with no experience in debating and public speaking. All four students were from non-English speaking households, sharing a desire to build their confidence and creativity.
Following the success of the first cohort, SDC has expanded to help hundreds of students every year across New South Wales to find their voice and shape their future.
Located in the heart of Eastwood, SDC plays an active role in building up the skills necessary for young Australians in the community to communicate how they think and feel.
SDC focuses exclusively on Debating, Public Speaking and English. This is rooted in the belief that learning goes beyond the next assessment, aiming to build life-long skills that are applicable in the classroom, social interactions and workplace .
